Short Ascent – Long Descents
The proven concept “short ascents – long descents” reinvented? Not quite, but it’s simply a good thing!
During your holidays we go where the snow is best in the Alps! From an inexpensive, but comfortable hotel, you can go on exciting freeride tours every day with the help of lifts, railings and climbing skins.
Hopefully good snow and long descents are waiting for us – with the least possible ascents (maximum 1-3 hours per day).
Let yourself be inspired by the ski artist and race coach Raphi Suppiger and improve your skills on the skis!
- Short ascents on foot or with skins from the skiing area
- Long, partly exotic departures
- adventure skiing
- Ski technique at a high level
- cosy & inexpensive hotel
- All inclusive (excl. beer)
*****
Requirements:
Technique: solid, downhill oriented ski technique
Condition: Puff for long descents and motivation for shorter ascents (short is always relative!)

Expenses
The listed price includes all costs except the arrival and departure. A transparent pricing is important to me, so here are some explanations.
Angebot | CHF |
---|---|
Freeride Week “Short Ascent” | 1250 |
Inklusive Hotel mit Halbpension, Ski & Bergbahntickets, Bergführer, Skicoach | inkl. |
Exklusive “Get there” | exkl. |
Since the ski experience is the main focus, the “additional costs” are kept as low as possible.
- All fees and expenses of the mountain guides and ski coaches are included in the price.
- We will not stay in a five-star hotel. Small but nice is the motto here.
- The morning meal is included. The dinner is mostly included with EURO15/day. If you want to treat yourself to a bottle of wine or something similar, we can divide it among the participants. In addition, if necessary, lunch will be provided along the way.
- The required ski tickets are included in the price. In addition, taxi costs will be charged on site. (If necessary)
- Billing Arrival according to recommendations directly with driver.
detailed programme
We will be stationed in Arabba, right in the heart of the Dolomites. The small village is an ideal starting point for the coming days.
Thanks to the mountain railways, lifts and our skins, the most beautiful freeride runs are in the immediate vicinity. Especially in the direction of the Marmolada or the Sella Pass there are many classics.
Impressive couloirs, hidden ridges and open slopes are the order of the day here. Freeride with short ascents and long descents in exciting adventure terrain, that is our goal.
- Day 0 – Thursday evening – “Arrival
We already arrive on Thursday evening to take full advantage of the first day. The journey takes place together with PW’s. - Day 1 to 4 – Fri to Mo – “Freeride puur”
In the Dolomites there are countless possibilities for great freeriding. Canale Holzer, the whole Marmolada area, Canale Joel, Saas Pordoj, Rissa del Daint… Only a tiny selection for possible possibilities. - Day 5 – Tuesday
On the last day we do a great half day ski or freeride tour in the morning. In the late afternoon we travel back to Central Switzerland. So we are back late on Tuesday evening.
overnight stay
We spend the night in a hotel or in different apartments. The share of accommodation costs should not be too high, as we want to concentrate on skiing. We always eat out together in a great restaurant – every evening a new surprise. Do you have any special wishes for the overnight stay? Then let me know when you book.
Arrival and departure
The route from Central Switzerland to the Dolomites is relatively long. But it is worth it!
We travel together in different cars. In order to fill the cars as well as possible, I coordinate the places and departure points together with the participants.
Change of program / Philosophy
We’ll go where the snow’s good. If the snow conditions are bad, we change the program to another area at short notice. This requires some flexibility – but it’s worth it! The price and the philosophy remain plus minus but the same…
Group size
Small group – great fun and maximum safety. We drive in groups of a maximum of 8 people. Better a maximum of 6!
If there are several groups, we offer two different programs every day, each with a mountain guide and the participant can choose where he wants to go.
