Splitboard Camp

The Freeride and Touring Camp for Splitboarders

Since Jeremy Jones’ film *Deeper*, splitboarding has been experiencing a real boom. But there are still only a few offers that truly focus on splitboarding.
We provide exactly that and have developed different camps specifically for splitboarders. With exciting training sessions and plenty of riding, we want to bring the splitboard community together and push it forward. We’ll explore what’s possible and share many tips and tricks along the way.

The goals of the camps are:

  • Bring together and strengthen the splitboard community
  • Independent planning of tours & freeride descents specifically for splitboarders
  • Deepen avalanche prevention and rescue skills
  • Be confident in the backcountry
  • Get inspiration for exciting new tours

      Description

      Level: Advanced to expert
      Duration: 3 days / 2 nights
Location: Bannalp – Brisen – Gitschenen / Haldigrat
“A couloir (French for corridor) is a narrow gully in a mountain slope or face, often filled with snow or ice and flanked by rock walls.” (Wikipedia)

      The Fascination of Couloirs

Riding couloirs is spectacular: steepness, line choice, rock walls, and focus make the experience intense – and often possible even in bad visibility or snowfall. No white-out, no getting lost. Just you, your splitboard, and the line.

Our Couloir Camp takes place in the pre-alpine Bannalp–Brisen region: fjord-like scenery with views over Lake Lucerne, often great snow conditions – and many exciting lines.

      Who is the camp for?

For splitboarders with solid touring experience who feel confident on their board and are eager for steep, adventurous routes with an alpine character. Not a competition – but loads of learning potential!
