Rock Climbing Day Course for Beginners in Central Switzerland
The via ferrata course for beginners is the perfect training to start the adventure in the mountains. It’s the first step away from the hiking trails into the rocks. The beauty of it is, you don’t need any prior knowledge and can start the adventure right away.
In the course, we focus on the equipment, how to use it, and how to move safely and efficiently on a via ferrata. We provide individual tips and tricks on how to overcome difficult obstacles and what to pay attention to.
The rock climbing course for beginners is a great opportunity to learn a new sport, strengthen your own fitness and self-confidence, and experience nature from a new perspective.

When do you decide if the course will take place due to the weather?
Via ferratas are forgiving, but if a thunderstorm is raging, we stay away. We will contact you 2-3 days before the course to provide you with an update. If the weather forecast is unstable, we must decide at short notice.
What happens in case of bad weather? e.g. raining all day?
In case of bad weather, the course will either be held at another location in Central Switzerland (Engelbergertal, Uri), or we will offer you an alternative date.
What if I can’t make it to any of the proposed alternative dates due to bad weather?
If that’s not possible for you, you will receive a refund. For this, we need your IBAN number, name of the account, and postal code/city. Please notify
us by email.
What languages can the mountain guides speak?
All our mountain guides speak German and English. If needed, we can translate the courses into English during the tour if you don’t understand German well. While our English may not be perfect, we will strive to ensure that you can understand everything well.
