What is the difference between the Via Ferrata Basic and Advanced course?

The difference between the Basic and Advanced Via Ferrata course lies in the experience level:

  • The Basic course is designed for beginners and covers fundamental skills such as equipment handling and safety techniques.

  • The Advanced course is for experienced climbers and focuses on more challenging sections and advanced techniques.

When will you decide if the course takes place due to the weather?

Via ferratas are generally manageable in various conditions, but in case of a thunderstorm, we stay away. We will update you 2–3 days before the course. If the forecast is unstable, we may have to decide on short notice.

What happens in bad weather, e.g., rain all day?

If the weather is bad, we will either move the course to another location in Central Switzerland (Engelberg Valley, Uri) or offer you a reschedule date.

What if I can’t attend any of the rescheduled dates due to bad weather?

If none of the proposed alternative dates work for you, you will receive a full refund. Please send us your IBAN, account name, and postal code/city via email.
