Engelberg – the Swiss Eldorado for via ferrata lovers

The five fixed rope routes in Engelberg are open as follows:

• The use of the via ferrata is at your own risk. The manufacturers of the via ferrata backrests accept no liability whatsoever.
• Climbing routes should only be undertaken by hikers who are free from giddiness, sure-footed and suitable for mountain climbing.
• Children should be at least 8 years old.
• Weather and weather conditions must be taken into account; in case of rain, snow, fog, thunderstorm risk and strong wind, via ferrata should not be used.
• In order to avoid damage, the safety ropes are cleared out over the winter.
