Racy alpine tour in firn and rock

From the mountain station on Kl. Titlis you descend over the Steiberggletscher into the Titlisjoch. After climbing over the exposed knife, we follow the exposed firn and rock ridge to the summit. Descending the SW ridge, one reaches the Wendenlücke, from where one soon sits in the Jochpass Restaurant for the deserved coffee.

The less difficult high tour – from the Klein Titlis over the “Messer” and the Ost-Grat up to the wide ridge of the Reissend Nollen – is a very appealing round in good firn conditions. After the descent over the crevasses of the Steinberg, easy climbing steps alternate with steep firn terrain. After the descent over the north flank to the chairlift at the Jochpass, you look back on a tour that is guaranteed to be lonely.
