The only 4000m peak in the Eastern Alps, the Piz Bernina 4049 m.a.s.l., is a remarkably beautiful summit. If the tour can also be seasoned with the ascent over the classic “Biancograt”, a wonderful tour experience is guaranteed.

Information and

The first day consists of the journey and the two hour ascent to the Tschiervahütte at 2584 m.a.s.l.

On the second day we start in a Herrgotsfrühe over glaciers and easy climbing to the Biancograt. After about 2 hours on the beautiful firn ridge we reach Piz Bianco. We continue over the connecting ridge to Piz Bernina. (Not to be underestimated).
After the descent over the Spallagrat, we trek over the jagged glacier over the “Bellavista” over the Fortezza and on to the mountain station Diavolezza. From there take the train back to the valley.

Optionally you can stay overnight in the Marco e Rosa hut after the descent over the Spallagrat ridge and on a third day the crossing of the Piz Palü can be attached. Thus one does not only get a great tour day additionally, but one defuses the extremely long second day around some. This variant is recommended and very rewarding!
